I was born in a one-room house in small-town India — one bed, four people, and ceilings everywhere. Some you could see. Most you couldn't. I've spent my whole life breaking through them. Nobody in that room knew what an investment bank was.
My mother was the first woman in her family to study science, the first to work outside the home, the first to keep working after marriage and children. She left for work at 5AM on a schoolteacher's salary because she wanted the best for her daughters — and didn't care what anyone said about it. Every Saturday I waited outside our door for her to round the corner, black umbrella in hand, rain or shine. Grit, before I had a word for it.
I left home at 15 for boarding school: the country girl with the wrong accent, the cheapest clothes, and the right answers. An engineering gold medal. A job offer on day one of campus interviews that doubled my family's income overnight. A first-ever flight — international, to the US, on two hours' notice. Then an MBA, top 20 of 175,000. Then the CFA, all three levels, first attempt.
Where I come from, you don't earn credentials for status. You earn them for access.

THE BANKER — At ABN AMRO, I learned the world of M&A: where value hides, how power moves, how a price actually gets set.
THE OPERATOR — Then I lived it from the inside. I was at Foster's when SABMiller acquired it for $12bn, and stayed through the takeover — delivering $250 million in year-one synergies inside the home of Corona and Victoria Bitter, and co-architecting the pivot that turned a decade of decline into Great Northern, Australia's first billion-dollar beer brand. Enterprise value: $12bn in, $16bn out.
THE EXECUTIVE — At Coles: a $30bn cost base across 2,000 negotiations a year, a $40M platform used daily by 21,000 suppliers, a team taken from 22% engagement to 51% in four months.

So here's what I'm obsessed with proving: most businesses are sitting on untapped millions. They just can't see it yet.
I've sat in every seat — strategist, financier, operator, technologist, negotiator — and delivered in every one, from Fortune 500 boardrooms to our own family business, across industries, countries, and crises.
Now I'm building my own private equity empire: acquiring, transforming, and scaling small and medium businesses where I can unlock what others can't see.
- I find the hidden value others walk straight past.
- I've already proven I can unlock it.
